It’s been a while since I put together a music video for one of my own original songs so last month on a particularly sunny day I headed to the local park with my good friend Charlotte Peak to film something for my song Perfect Summer Day.

 I’ll admit there wasn’t really a plan for this video. I had some ideas of shots I wanted to get and I knew the location well enough to know where to get some nice shots but mostly it was down to turning up and just trying things out. It was also a god chance to test out using my new drone which I’m sure you’ll agree ups the production value for the video significantly. 

For someone who usually spends absolutely ages putting together music videos (see my LEGO Stop Motion animated music video if you don’t believe me!) there is definitely something to be said for just going out and shooting something for fun. Hopefully in the future I’ll be able to spend less time planning videos and more time actually making them!
